A BYDA response lands as a stack of flat PDFs. One person reads them, marks up a printout or a screenshot, and that markup lives on their laptop. The designer, the supervisor and the crew each end up with a different picture of the same street.
Subsurface gives you one map to draw on. Trace the services once, in layers, and the whole team is looking at the same ground — with pot holes, permits and bookings on top of it.

Trace it once. The whole team draws on the same map
Build a layer for each service — asset type, sub-type, owner and material, with its own colour, thickness and line style from solid through to wavy. Trace along the road with the line tool and drag a mid-handle to add a bend. Drop point symbols for pits, chambers, valves and hydrants, each sized and rotated to suit. Nothing snaps — features go exactly where you put them — and undo covers every draw, move, reshape and status change.
